“I began my journey with Vedic Meditation only 4 short months ago. Despite being new to this incredible practice, I can honestly say that the past few months have been nothing but eye-opening for me. Before beginning this practice, I would have considered myself, as do a majority of people, high-stress. I work as a school social worker. While this is an empowering career, there comes natural waves of high-stress times in moments of helping others. I felt as if there were frequent experiences where the stress of the work overcame my own well-being. Carrying the weight of serving others was fulfilling, but led me to go home at the end of the day feeling anxious at times, and not able to manage my own secondhand anxieties about particular work events. It became difficult for me to navigate my love for the career, but also take care of myself mentally.

Since committing to the twice daily practice of Vedic Meditation, the management of these stressors has greatly improved. Meditating daily has opened up space in my mind to function better not only in my career, but in life in general. I feel a sense of clarity in my ability to not only continue to serve others, but also finally be able to balance it with serving myself. This is something I will forever be grateful for. Vedic Meditation is an experience that is difficult to explain unless you experience it yourself. However, once you commit, you will find it to be eye-opening to any sort of stress management, and you will see a greater improvement in overall daily functioning.”
